Full Contact Karate
We are a full-contact karate school that bases its curriculum on Kyokushin Karate, Goju Ryu Karate, and Kickboxing.
Adult Full Contact Karate
We, at Spectrum Martial Arts, apply a scientific method of teaching using your body's natural reflexes and progressive resistance, along with proven martial arts techniques, to give you a solid base of self-defense within the three primary ranges of combat (stand-up, clinch and ground).
The karate class is broken into two sections: basic and advanced. The basic class will be for all students, however, the curriculum will focus on white belts through green belts. The advanced class is for green belts, and above; however, it will focus on the blue belt and above curriculum.
Typically it takes between 5 - 7 years of dedicated, consistent training to attain the rank of black belt. Because we value the journey of creating knowledge and skill over belts, we do not promote children under 16 years old to black belt.
Adult Karate class is for ages 13 and up.
For other karate classes in different age categories, please take a look at our PAW and Kids Karate classes.
Kids' Full Contact Karate
We apply the scientific teaching method to our kids' class, using their natural reflexes meshed with proven martial arts techniques to give them a practical, applicable self-defense base. We couple this with the Play As the Way (PAW) ™ method of children's karate instruction so they have fun while learning!
Because we value the journey of creating knowledge and skill over belts, we do not promote children under 16 years old to black belt.
Kids Karate Class is for ages 4 to 12.
